NFL Playoff Pick – Eagles Over The Cardinals

I think this will be a tough game. The Cardinals are explosive on offense and their defense has gotten stout. Last game was a blowout, but don’t expect this one to be anything but a nailbiter.

I expect this to be a relatively low scoring game – under 45 total points. I see the Eagles struggling if they don’t rely on Buckhalter a little more instead of an injured Westbrook. I’m hoping, deep down, that Andy Reid and Co. will see the obvious and take some load off Westbrook. But you never know with these guys. Sometimes they are geniuses, sometimes not.

Why do the Eagles win this game? I think they win because they find a way to hurry Warner into some sloppy throws. It’s hard to sack Warner because he prefers to get the ball away. But that creates the perfect opportunity for interceptions. If there’s anyone I trust when it comes to preparation and gameplan, it’s Jim Johnson. I think he’ll have Warner off balance by the 2nd quarter and though the Eagles won’t be consistent on offense, they will find a way to capitalize off a couple turnovers.

Edgerin James doesn’t concern me, by the way. Run blitz to the QB.
