Bats stay alive and Phillies win again.
The Good: We’re in a Pennant race. It’s about time Howard got back to his form of last year. 4-4 with 2 RBI’s is one hell of a night. The inning once again goes 4.0 inning without giving up a run. And I hope no one forgets how much Pat Burrell coming around has picked this team up. He’s finally starting to earn that huge contract of his.
The Bad: Eaton is the worst pitcher in history.
Kendrick must be the favorite guy on the team as he is given plenty of runs to work with for all of his starts. I could get a win if I was given an 11-run lead. And once again he put together a great performance while only allowing 1 walk and recording only 1 strikeout. I’m still waiting for his meltdown considering he’s never pitched this long into any season.
Last start (9/17): W / 6.0 / 3 ER / 7 H / 1 BB / 1 SO / St. Louis
Tim Redding starts for the Nationals Saturday with a 3-5 record and a 3.73 ERA. Looking at just his last 4 starts, his goal should be to last longer then 5.0 innings. He is the owner of a high-90mph fastball and has proven to be able to work himself out of jams. He’s only faced the Phillies one other time this year. In that start he went 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs.
Last start (9/17): ND / 4.0 / 4 ER / 6 H / 1 BB / 2 SO / New York
Last words . . . I know the Mets won tonight, but boy do they suck right now.

I hate Adam Eaton. I will be muttering that phrase for 2 more years, and possibly the rest of my life. Some how, some way, he managed to get the W for last night though. Go Phils!
