I hate the Mets.

The Good:  Howard didn’t strike out today.  Ruiz continued to keep Barajas on the bench.  They only lost once today. 

The Bad:  I guess I’m being redundant but once again, pitching cost them another game.  Is it me or is Rollins making a lot of errors recently?  Is the Bourn experiment ending soon?

Only one more day of this crap and we won’t have to listen to the obnoxious Mets fans when we lose.  I can’t really defend the whole team today, even though the pitching was the main reason for the lose.  But when the offense can only score two runs and when the defense has two errors, it’s going to be tough to win.  But the other way to look at this is that there is too much pressure put on this team’s offense and defense.  They know that if they don’t play an absolutely PERFECT game, they have no chance of winning.  These players know that the pitching is gonna give up lots of runs and that’s not a good way to go into a game/series.

Not only does Shane Victorino read my blog, but so does Pat Gillick.  Thank God Geary was sent to AAA.  I don’t hate him as a person, I just hate him as a baseball player.  Bringing up another no name from the minors isn’t going to be much of an improvement, but hopefully Geary will wake his ass up and play a little better.  This needs to be done to a few more players (Burrell, Barajas, Helms).  However I know that some of these complicated contracts prevent that from happening, but if they continue to underachieve they should keep their over-paid asses on the bench.

I’m a little calmed down from yesterday so I’ll look forward to Sunday’s game.  Mostly because it looks promising for the Phillies.  Mike Pelfrey has 5 loses in 6 starts.  This guy pretty much sucks and is sure to give up runs.  However Kendrick, while being the better pitcher on paper, will also give up runs.  This game, like so many before at CBP, is gonna turn into a slugfest.  Hopefully the Phils can redeem themselves and not be swept at home.  I’m really starting to like this Kendrick fellow and hope that he can get a big win for this ball club.
