Sports… the Philadelphia way

Another sweep.

Don’t do it. Don’t think that just because they swept another team that the Phillies have turned this team around.

Kyle Kendrick didn’t seem intimidated in his major league debut. However, I don’t see him being able to hold up in the rotation. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong but I think he’s still a little too young. What the Phillies have to do is stop messing with Myers and just put him back in the rotation. Combine him with Hamels and you’ll have a great 1-2 punch. You can use Gordon as a closer when (and by when, I mean if) he comes back. Until then leave Alfonseca in that role until he proves he can’t do it anymore.

THANK GOD Helms finally hit a homerun. Hopefully the monkey will be off his back and he’ll continue to produce. But when you got someone who has a glove as great as Nunez’s and is producing key runs, why wait for Helms to come around. Leave Nunez as the starting thirdbaseman until Helms knocks him out of that spot.

How long are we gonna try to force Barajas into being a professional baseball player? Send him done to Ottawa or Reading and let him find his bat. If nothing else, maybe it’ll wake his ass up into hitting the ball once again. I probably don’t have to remind any of you that there is someone who is more of capable of replacing Barajas as a back up catcher.

Last words . . . keep running Shane.
