I hate Freddy Garica.
I’m writing this post before the game is over partly because I’m exhausted from a long day of working in the sun and because the ending of the game doesn’t matter.
What I want to talk about are the first 5 outs. Freddy Garica sucks!!! I’ve been saying this for months now. He’s had arguably one good start. And that one start is the only one in which he went more then 6 innings. I’m not even gonna bother talking about his ERA. This guy is a pathetic excuse for a pitcher. He’s had successful seasons before this year, but he has just absolutely fallen apart in Philadelphia. He’s a bum that can’t beat the Kansas City Royals. The worst part about it was that he had a 3-0 lead to work with, however he made sure he got rid of that quickly.
I’m fed up with these underperforming players: Garcia, Helms, Barajas, Burrell. Yes, that’s right, Burrell too. Even though I cannot stand that rat Billy Wagner, his comments about Burrell are true. Wagner threw the ball at his bat, Burrell didn’t hit crap. These guys are getting paid MILLIONS of dollars to go out to perform and are making people embarrassed to admit they are Phillies fans. The team has got to do something to wake up this team, such as send someone down to the minors. I know Burrell has a contract that prevents that from happening, but if he doesn’t start stepping up his game and start hitting more game winning homeruns he’s gonna have plenty of splinters on his ass from sitting on the bench. As for Helms and Barajas, these bums are taking up a precious roster spot that could be occupied by the wonderful Chris Coste. As for Garica, he should be taken out back of Citizen’s Bank Park and have the crap beat out of him. These guys are an embarassment to baseball.
Now I know some of you are reading this and might be thinking, “Well gee Soss, these guys are trying. Don’t be so hard on them.” That lame excuse ends in Babe Ruth league. When you get this far, you either perform or you’re out of a job. I don’t want to blame the team for today’s lose because Freddy single-handedly lost this game for the team. But now they HAVE to win the next 2 games.
Last words . . . I hate Freddy Garcia (I just can’t say it enough).

I’m a die hard fan of all our Philly teams and I’ve been trapped in Orlando after moving from Philly 12 years ago. Needless to say the only lifeline I have to our teams (as pathetic as they may be) is the damn internet. Thank God WIP broadcasts online. So as I search Google looking for more links to get my fill of Philly I ran into this one.
Your words echo my every thought my man. Garcia has been the biggest flop since Pat Gillick took over for Ed Wade. Granted you can’t fault them for picking him up. On paper it was a solid transaction, but DAMN!! Few things are as frustrating and mind boggling as this Phillies team. “On paper” we should have an amazing offense. While we lead the NL in runs scored, none of them come when we need them most. And lets not get started on that dreaded bullpen. JOSE MESA??
“Hey, this guy has a 12+ ERA!! Let’s give him a shot!” Pathetic. I can feel the next trade coming…Aaron Rowand to the Cardinals for Josh Hamilton and a bucket of chicken.
