Sports… the Philadelphia way

Life is better after a sweep of the braves.

Talk about a decisive win.  First off, where the hell did this Dobbs fellow come from and why hasn’t he been on the team until now.  Screw the struggling Burrell.  Tell him to take his money and go cruise the clubs for chicks, we’ll take the real baseball player in Dobbs.

THANK GOD Howard is hitting once again.  I remember last year I used to drop everything I was doing when he came up to bat and soak in every second of it.  Lately, pre- and post- injury, I’ve just been watching his at-bats like all the other regular players. Howard hitting is going to greatly help the other players by allowing them to see better pitches.  And if Howard starts getting the Bonds treatment these said players will have plenty of “ducks sitting on the pond.”

I’m some what disappointed that Zagurski didn’t pitch today as has been a nice addition to the bullpen.  I’m joking when I saw this cause I hope he doesn’t get overused as Myers did and mabye the young kid’s arm won’t fall off.  I can’t wait to see him after giving up a few hits/runs and see if he can maintain his composure.  Another thing I can’t wait for is for the Zagurski fan clubs to start.  If anyone reading this has some good ideas and need some people to jump on the bandwagon, count me in.

It’s nice to win a bunch of games in a row, and it’s key to keep the momentum going.  However, I hope Manuel can find it in his heart to give Rollins a game off and try it once again with Utley.  Right now every win is important because in a couple weeks the dominant AL Central will probably once again send Phillies fans to shy away from public places.

Last words . . . I called the Hamels victory.

Good call on the Hamels victory, I’m sure it was difficult considering how crappy of a pitcher he is.
