From the Kolb article linked above, written by the Delco Times’ Bob Grotz:
As much as the Eagles want to temper expectations, Kolb in one day has demonstrated he is horseshoes accurate and can zip the football.
If Kolb continues to connect, the Eagles will be better for it. If he picks up the system sooner than the coaches anticipate, it wouldn’t be out of the question for him to get on the field this year. It only takes a play or two to blow up the depth chart.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Speaking of tempering expectations, maybe Grotz needs to chill out a tad. I can’t see Kolb wrestling the #2 QB job from Feeley in his first year in the West Coast offense. So, in order for Grotz’s theory to prove correct, the Birds would be looking at a scenario where both number one and two quarterbacks were down with an injury. That’s not a scenario anyone wants.
