Andy Reid Press Conference
Listening to the Andy Reid Press Conference, Reid opens by asking the reporters to respect his family situation, and to limit their questions regarding the impending legal problems affecting his two sons.
The media proceeds to totally disregard the suggestion and directs 10 to 15 straight inquiries at just that. Now I understand the job of the media is to ask these sorts of questions, but after numerous:
“I can’t go into all that.”
“I don’t want to talk about that right now.”
“I don’t really want to go there.”
Merrill Reese finally stepped up to the plate and lobbed Reid a question about the Eagles offseason transactions. Andy Reid responded, “Thank you Merrill.”
But that was a quick respite. A proceeding question inquired about how Andy can work effectively knowing his children face jail time.
Andy, “Can we please get back to the football related questions?”
It all seemed a little classless. The sharks smelled blood in the water.

Andy seems to be taking the situation well, he said that this incident made him stronger as both a father and a football coach. Now it’s time to focus on the draft. I can’t wait to see what happens April 28.

I love the draft. The sweet draft. April 28th weekend.
I understand your point about the media being classless, but I also understand why they have to ask the questions. I didn’t get to see the press conference so I can’t really say if it was over the line or not, but I kinda feel like it’s their job to ask the questions over and over again. You never know when may get a response that will get you a great headline or quote for an article. I dunno. I can see both sides of the issue.
I understand both sides of the issue too, but personally I couldn’t do it.
If it was really annoying Reid he could have shut down the press conference.
