Eagles sign Bushwick Bill
Remember Bushwick Bill from the Geto Boys?
Tom Heckert sure does.
Today the Eagles inked Bushwick to a 3-year $8.25 year deal.
A scouting report from ESPN.com:
Bushwick is athletic, versatile and plays with a great motor. He has good initial quickness, active hands and a relentless approach. He can be disruptive hitting gaps and staying on the move. He has good short-area quickness and explosive movement skills. He has above-average functional strength when he maintains his pad level at the point of attack. He is a willing backside chase player and has good range outside the box. He is a strong tackler. He can get on a pass blocker’s edge quickly and works hard to finish. He shows good moves (a hard club, rip and spin) off his initial charge. He has good balance and control when redirecting off stunts or double moves. But Bushwick is undersized (3′ 5″) and can struggle in power matchups. He struggles to maintain his leverage when moving laterally down the line. He can get washed out of run lanes.

And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, shame on you. Your mind is playing tricks on you. Prior to joining the Eagles, Bill made his bones as the midget rapper from the legendary rap group, The Geto Boys.
Bushwick Bill, (born Montae Reagor, June 29, 1977, Waxahachie, TX) is a member of the rap group Geto Boys. In 1991 he shot himself while drunk after his girlfriend refused to shoot him. The incident was not fatal, but he lost his right eye. A graphic picture of him in the hospital with his injury was on the cover of the Geto Boys’ album We Can’t Be Stopped.
Great signing for the Birds, but at 3 feet 5 inches I question his ability to stop the run.
