and if you look at the time on the clock, you see that he took the hit on an otherwise meaningless play.

This is painful. The Eagles have carte blanche when it comes to a lot of position decisions but WR isn't one of them. They drafted Freddie Mitchell, and before getting TO, never gave Donovan a WR close to being a No. 1 receiver. Now, after getting a WR in Stallworth that is both fast and a quality playmaker, they only let them play together for a handful of games. And they let him walk for not a lot of money and give $9 million guaranteed to Kevin Curtis???

I've read the stats about how the Eagles offense scored more points and gained more yards in the games that Stallworth was out, but come one. Anyone who knows football could easily see that Stallworth's speed easily made the Eagles a better offense. Look at the playoff game against the Saints. The Eagles would have gotten blown out without Stallworth.

Maybe Curtis will all make us forget about Stallworth, but I don't see him as an upgrade.

But honestly, the Eagles Super Bowl prospects all rest on their defense, and they haven't improved that at all.

Eagles fans can finally take a deep breath. I'm pumped about the signing, now the Eagles can grab a linebacker with the first pick and I would consider their team complete for the next 3 years at a minimum (considering McNabb doesn't get injured... AGAIN). It's been a rough decade for the NFC East rivals.
