Breaking News: Eagles sign WR

This really isn’t siren worthy but the hell with it, the Eagles signed WR Bethel Johnson this morning.
Bethel Johnson has been a disappointment since he was taken in the 2nd round of the 2003 draft by the New England Patriots. Johnson does however, have two Super Bowl rings for us bitches to kiss.
Looks like a move to bolster the return game and provide some veteran depth to a young wide receiving core. Come to think of it, once Stallworth walks, Bethel Johnson with have the same amount of NFL experience as our receiving core combined.
Bethel Johnson (4 years)
Reggie Brown (2 years)
Hank Baskett (1 year)
Jason Avant (1 year)

The Eagles have certainly been quiet in free agnecy, but I expect them to make moves in the later stages when players price tags drop. There are a lot of big backs on the market and I could see the Eagles picking up one once their price tag drops. If not there’s always free agency. There are also a lot of receivers running 4.3 40’s in the draft which would address their need for a speedy back.
I don’t understand how everyone is so calm about the defensive backfield . It seems to me that all the solid players that were here last year have now jumped ship, there will be no rotation to speek of….
Am I wrong but are we in trouble?
