Flyers trade Zhitnik to Atlanta

Sorry guys, but I don’t know how to do the siren graphic when news breaks. But the Flyers traded Alexei Zhitnik to the Thrashers tonight for young defenseman Braydon Coburn. The reason I felt compelled to post this is because of a quote from GM Paul Holmgren:

“He is a big, young defenseman that skates very well. He will fit in nicely with our young group.”

At first I was skeptical of this, but then I saw something that tells me Coburn will fit in nicely with the Flyers: He has no goals in 38 career games. Perfect.
