Andy Reid’s Huge Problem

You want to know what Andy Reid’s problem is? Here it is. He let’s theory and principle get in the way of common sense.

Plain and simple.

Why go with Jeff Garcia over A.J. Feeley? Well, because Garcia has been a starter and has more experience than Feeley.

Not so fast Andy. Even the fans know better. The question isn’t about whose been a starter and who has more experience. The question is about who is the best quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. And there is no question about that. A.J. Feeley is clearly the starting QB now that McNabb is gone.

Garcia is an old, backup quarterback. We saw on Sunday, against a bad Tennessee team, that he can’t lead the Eagles down the field. We saw in the preseason that A.J. Feeley is extremely comfortable with the offense scheme. We saw him lead his offense down the field. We saw him look like a leader. We saw him look better than Garcia.

This is common sense talking. But Andy Reid doesn’t pay attention to common sense. That’s his problem. And that’s why he has to go.
