So much for the Sixers
I admit it. I got sucked in when the Sixers won their first three games against some good teams. I did.
But I was stupid. I should have known. This is the same team as last year. They can’t play defense. Plain and simple. Defense ultimately wins games in the NBA.
Problems: Webber. Keep him on the bench. Korver: bring him in early to get a lead, then take him out for the middle 2/3rds of the game. If you go down big, bring Korver back in. If you need a quick string of 3’s, bring him back in. But if you have the lead, take him out. He can’t play defense. Iverson: ball hog. Though he’d change?
The fact is that this team hasn’t changed enough from last year and is going nowhere, very fast.
