Flyers Fizzle - Hitchcock fired, Clark quits
This morning marks the biggest shakeup in recent Flyers history. Off to their worst start in memorable history, the Flyers have fired coach Ken Hitchcock and general manager Bob Clarke has resigned. That’s shocking news. Not so much because it isn’t deserved as the fact that these guys, especially Clarke, are so ingrained in my thoughts about the Flyers, that it seems impossible to think of the Flyers without Clarke.
But the Flyers really did need a shakeup. They were getting embarassed…blown out. They didn’t look like a professional team most of the time. I doubt that this will single-handedly make them into a playoff team, but hopefully it will jumpstart them into some decent play that’s enjoyable to watch. Because so far, it’s been torture to watch my 2nd favorite sport this season.

Clarke was long overdue. He was fast becoming the Ed Wade of the hockey world.
The only difference being that Ed Wade didn’t know a damned thing about baseball. Clarke has hockey in his blood.
yeah, but his blood is thinning in his old age …
lets hope that after this long awaited shakeup they can start to make a comeback, it will not be a quick fix but in time who knows ah
