Dhani Jones Arrested for…..Dancing??
Late Saturday night, Eagles LB Dhani Jones was arrested in Miami for dancing in the street. According to the report, Jones refused to stop dancing when the police kept asking him and was then arrested by Miami police officers. This seems like the kind of arrest that happens to a housemate on MTV’s Real World, not to a professional athlete.
I guess the upside is that Dhani Jones wasn’t arrested for drug usage, murder, or any other serious offense. But it seems a little ridiculous that Dhani was arrested for something as ordinary as dancing. Furthermore, Jones is recognized as one of the smartest and most articulate athletes in the NFL so its quite surprising that he is the one being put into custody for dancing. I’m sure nothing will end up happening from this minor incident, but we’ll see.

In other Philadelphia Eagles related news, soon to be ex-Buffalo Bills wide receiver Eric Moulds seems very interested in coming to the city of Brotherly Love. Moulds has permission from the Bills to seek a trade to another team, and he has announced 5 teams that he is willing to go to. The Philadelphia Eagles head the 5 team list, with New England, Kansas City, Seattle and Denver rounding out the list.
Moulds is intrigued with the potential of playing with the Eagles since he would be playing alongside QB Donovan McNabb. This is a similar interest to what Terrell Owens showed before he came to Philly, but this time the reciever has much less baggage. But before Eagles fans go wild over the thought of Moulds putting on an Eagles uniform, there could be a roadblock in the form of money. Moulds most likely wants a 2-3 year deal worth about 4-5 million a year and Andy Reid and Joe Banner may not be willing to give Moulds that kind of money to come to Philadelphia. However, 2 years ago I didn’t think the Eagles would be willing to put up a good amount of money to bring TO into the fold so we’ll see what happens with Eric Moulds.
