Sixers Get Revenge on Bulls

You remember it don’t you? Just a few games ago, the Sixers came off a potential season-changing heroic win against the defending champs only to lose to the Bulls in jester fashion.

Well, that Bulls loss seems to have waken the Sixers up. They’ve now won three straight and 4 or 5. And last night they came back and bruised the Bulls 108-102 without two of their starters (Webber and Dalembert).

If there were two starters I don’t mind losing for a game or two, its those two. Webber takes too many bad shots and Dalembert’s game is too one dimensional.

The young guys are stepping it up: Korver went three for three from beyond the arc (he also went 0-4 from inside the arc!) and hit 10 foul shots for 19 points. Iguodala added 20 points and Iverson shouldered the majority of the scoring load with 38.

The exciting thing about these last few games has been seeing the young guys starting to blossom and finding out that the Sixers actually have some bench depth. You’ve gotta be happy when Shavlik Randolph comes off the bench to grab 13 boards and contribute 8 points.

Well, I’m starting to get excited about the Sixers. Yeah, its too early, but I’m a sucker for possibilities. And with the team starting to gel and the makings of an offensive juggernaut, who knows, we could be in for some surprises.
