Are these the Sixers? Are you kidding me?
Man. Start off the season at 0-3 and I was ready for another lame-duck season. You know, another season where Iverson gets his stats and the team loses games.
But, now they’re 4-3. That’s four straight wins, against not-so-bad teams like the Mavs, Clippers, Pacers and Lakers.
It’s not just that they’ve won these games. Oh, no. They’re actually playing some stiff defense. Did you see Iggy totally shut down Kobe? And with the better defense, teams aren’t coming from behind in the 4th.
The defense was missing from the first three games…it seems they learned their lesson and have picked up their intensity.
On top of the tight defense, the Sixers are running their offense, passing the rock, finding the open man. They actually look like a well-oiled machine. The last time they looked like this was the championship run of 2000-2001. Webber’s got some spunk. Iverson still finds his way to the basket like nobody else Korver is popping the threes.
Things are looking sweet for the Sixers. And with Dalembert coming back in a few weeks, hopefully things will get even sweeter.

Starting to get excited about this team. But what will we do when Webber inevitably has to take some time off for injuries? Mo needs to limit his minutes tonight with the Mia/Cle back-to-back this weekend.
