Flyers on Six Game Winning Streak
The Flyers have the worst penalty-kill in the league. They’re missing their best penalty killers. But they’re winning games. Four straight by only 1 goal. Six straight overall.
Watching the Flyers this year has been thrilling. Even when they go down by two or three goals, they seem to find ways to come back and win. The first-year players are playing like veterans. Forsberg is the master of finesse. Damn is it fun to watch Forsberg thread the needle with a pass. He’s the best goal setter in the league. No question.
And when he threads the needle, you can bet you’ll find Simon Gagne on the receiving end. Gagne leads the league in scoring so far this year.
Hockey’s back and its faster than ever. The Flyers are looking like the team we expected them to be. And, they don’t even have some of their best players, out with concussions and other injuries.
Players we didn’t expect to be so good: Joni Pitkanen and Mike Knuble
