D-Day: Eagles-Dallas 24-14
The Eagles finally get a chance to strut their stuff against divisional rivals. Four games into the season, the Eagles take on a Dallas team that is 2-2 but which could easily be 3-1 (had they not dropped the ball against Washington).
I see this game being a tough one for the Eagles. Under Parcels, the Cowboys are no roll-over, and I think the Birds will have to struggle the whole way. This is probably an unpopular view, and most people probably think this will be a cake walk for the Eagles, but Dallas has already beaten the Chargers (a playoff caliber team), should have beaten Washington, and stayed close with Oakland.
The reason the Eagles win this one is because of Dallas’ lackluster offense and the Eagles stiff defense. Despite a good early start, the Cowboys’ offense has been sputtering badly as of late. Still, all things considered they’ve got a decent defense and home field advantage in Texas. Throw in an Eagles special teams that is ridiculously unpredictable, and you may have a game on your hands. We’ll see.
