Phils down 2-0, score 10 in the 9th for win
The Phillies entered the 9th inning against the Florida Marlins down 2-0. Willis had shut them out, but let the first two batters on so Jones came in as a reliever. The Phillies have gone on to score 8 runs with no outs. That’s where they stand right now. They’ve been helped by a number of terrible errors on the part of the Marlins. Now they’ve batted around. 10 batters, no outs. Ok. Michaels, the 11th batter of the inning, struck out for the first out. Now the bottom of the 9th is over with the Phils scoring 10 runs and holding a 10-2 win. Let’s hope they can close this out. They did it. Phils win. 10-2.
Damn. This is what the Hunt for Red October is all about! Anyone else as excited as me?
