Week One Prediction
Eagles 28 - Atlanta 13
This game isn’t going to even be close. We all know that Vick ain’t no quarterback, and with the Eagles D-Line looking pretty good against the run, I just don’t see the Falcons getting their offense going. Unless Vick magically developed a passing game, I see the Eagles D containing him as a runner and holding the Falcons under 14 points. The McNabb-Owens combination will light up at least once and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Greg Lewis or Reggie Brown break one big too. The Eagles offense just has too many weapons for the Falcons defense to contain.

Yo, just found your blog, I dig it. I’ll be blogging about the Birds this year so if you want to trade link let’s do it. I like to be listed as That Dude from Philly….I’m with u on the prediction….I have 34-22.
27-17 Iggles.
Looking forward to Philly Sports Net’s Birds coverage this season. I’m hoping to blog (and possibly live blog) every game but we’ll see what a case of Miller High Life does to that ambition.
GO BIRDS.
I’ll try to jump in on the live bloggin’ if you do it. I’ll check in as the game progresses. Mine’ll be Sam Adams but…I might be a little woozy as well;-)
BTW, how would we determine the winner of our predictions. Based on the spread? What if the score is 29 - 15? Who wins that one?
In week 2 we’ll start a prediction pool. Each week, Philly Sports Net contributors will bet on three games (Eagles + 2 biggies).
Week 2:
Eagles - 49ers
Redskins - Cowboys
Patriots - Panthers
Predictions need to include scores. 1 point for getting winner. Another 1 for being within five points of the spread.
I have a high respect for the Eagles, but I think the team will not duplicate their feat last year. The offense is a mess and Terell Owens can’t shut his mouth. I really pity Donovan Mcnabb and coach Andy Reid. This season will be a tough test for Philly’s character.
