Had he signed the tender, it wouldn't have mattered - he'd be making $5.1 million no matter how much better the other 5 tackles were playing. But since he waited so long, the Eagles got to see in camp that Walker, Thomas, Rayburn, and Patterson are more than enough and we've still got Grasmanis and Marshall in the wings. Almost any other team would still be anxious to have him back because they barely have 2 quality DTs, let alone 4. What I meant was, the fact that we have good depth made him expendable. I was hoping they'd be able to trade him, but he's been a real idiot. In the end, he really screwed himself because the Eagles seem to be the only team to have honest-to-goodness depth at DT.
