Hopkins Loses to Taylor
On Saturday night, Philadelphia native, Bernard Hopkins lost the title he had held for over 10 years to Jermain Taylor. Taylor dominated the early rounds while Hopkins came back with a vengeance, in what appeared to be a come back victory. However, the punch count totals for two of the three officials gave Taylor the victory and the title. The new champion won with a split decision 115-113 112-116 115-113.
