Phillies Crank Five Homers, Beat Marlins 13-7
Ryan Howard, Pat Burrell and Mike Lieberthal combined for five home runs and nine RBIs and gave the Phillies an easy win against the Marlins after falling behind early on 3-0. Bobby “The Big Bopper” Abreu came up empty after his record setting home run derby performance and his move to the cleanup position.
Now’s the time for the Phillies to make a run at the wildcard spot in the NL. They’ve got a 10 game homestand to really make an impact. Here’s hoping for the best (always buffered with expectations for the worst of course…here in Philly land).
