Phils take second straight series against first place team
First it was the Cardinals. Now its the Orioles.
The Phillies looked doomed. They looked pathetic. And then…. they started a long set of games against really, really good teams (Cardinals, Orioles, Florida and Atlanta). Things couldn’t have been much worse…but the wierdest things happen…
Six games later and the Phillies have won two straight series against two really good first place teams (the Cardinals and Orioles). Except for one game in each series, their bats have been alive. Abreu has been on fire. Burrell is getting his swing back (he went 3 for 3 today including a three run homer) , and the team is getting hits up and down the entire lineup.
Hey, and now our pitchers are pitching complete games. Way to go Lidle!
