Jim Thome’s Return Delayed

Jim Thome was expected to re-join the Phillies for their upcoming series against the Orioles. But things aren’t looking so promising. The Phillies announced that, due to recurring back stiffness, Thome would remain on the DL at least through this weekend. The thinking goes like this: he probably hurried himself back from injury in the pre-season, so this time around, let’s make sure I’m fully recovered so that I can actually come back and contribute to the team this time around;-)
