Sixers down 2-0, No one is surprised
The Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers simply can’t compete with the defending world champion Detroit Pistons. Not only are they out matched, but they’re also out coached and this makes a big difference. It is not uncommon for the Sixers to start a game explosively, generating a large lead. But, they characteristically blow the lead in the 2nd or 3rd quarters. They never sustain a consistent, high-level of play over 48 minutes. This is a sign of poor coaching, and when you have a young team like the Sixers, you need exceptional coaching.
The fact of the matter is that the Sixers will not win a single game in this series. They just don’t have it in them. Earlier we predicted a 6 game series, but that’s being revised to a sweep. Detroit’s defense is too good and there are just too many individual matchups where the Sixers can’t compete.
It also doesn’t help when your superstar goes 7-24 (now that’s terrible) and your team goes 4-18 from 3pt land.
